Delivery Reporting (DLR) is a feature of SMS MT (Mobile Terminated) that lets you know whether or not an SMS message was delivered for each one you send.
An SMS delivery report is a notification from an SMCS (Short Message Service Center) informing you that your device’s SMS message was delivered to the intended recipient. In other words, an SMS delivery report displays the carrier’s current status of the text messages you sent.
