Mobile Country Code is a three-digit mobile code that is used to identify GSM networks.

MCC is also used in conjunction with the International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) to determine the mobile subscriber’s area of origin.

The MCC is coupled with a Mobile Network Code to uniquely identify a mobile subscriber network. HNI (Home network identity) is the result of combining MCC and MNC into one string (for instance, MCC= 208 and MNC = 17 results in an HNI of 20817).
